Barbara Jane Capehart

Barbara Jane Capehart, 75, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on August 8, 2023. She was born on January 19, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late William and Genevieve Grunis.

Barbara loved her pets and all living things. She loved the time she was able to ride and show horses when her son was little and had the opportunity to teach him the same. She loved to visit Gulf Shores whenever possible if not once a year with her son.

Barbara worked many years in the Jewelry business, owned her own business, and helped her son with a landscape business for over the past 15 years. She graduated high school in Detroit, and then graduated college with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Barbara is survived by her son, Justin Capehart; her Shih Tzu Buddy, and three birds Daisy, Bama, and Marty.

A Visitation for Barbara will be on Tuesday, August 15, from 1 pm to 3 pm, with a Memorial Service at 3 pm, at Flanner Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Avenue.
