Barbara J. Ray Devore Barnes

Barbara J. Ray DeVore Barnes, 87 of Indianapolis, formerly of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on June 28, 2015. She was born November 27, 1927 to Lee and Geneva Ray, who precede her in death. Barbara graduated from Southport High School. She retired in 1996 from Harden and Associates where she worked as a Customer Service Representative. She loved cats and enjoyed being outdoors. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert DeVore and Dallas Barnes and her son, Douglas DeVore. Surviving to cherish her memory are her granddaughters, Jennifer (Chris) Pedigo, Christy (Andrew) Magnet and Elle (Nicholas) Jackson, and great-grandchildren, Thalia, Wyatt, Carl, Jr., Emma, Brady and Jay. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Humane Society.
