Barbara Joan Bigham November 17, 1932 – February 5, 2015 Barbara Joan (Allen) Bigham, 82, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully at the Indiana Veterans Home in W. Lafayette, IN on Thursday, February 5, 2015 after suffering a long illness. Barbara graduated from Elkhart High School and attended business college for a couple of years. She retired after many years as Bookkeeper at Kite Company, and was a part-time associate at JC Penney. She loved the outdoors, bowling, playing cards, and dogs. She was a member of the Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church. She truly enjoyed her family, especially the grandchildren, and great- grandchildren, she was a very loving mother. Barbara is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Kenneth N. Bigham; daughter, Tina Marie Bigham Lyons of McMinnville, TN, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth (Beth) Bigham; grandchildren, Alicia Nicole, Kenneth A.J. Bigham, Travis Ray Crabtree, Jr. and Jourdan Rhea Crabtree; great--grandchildren, Jackson Ryan Evans, Shadaya Danniella, and Arreianna Jayde , Curtis Alan Dean Crabtree, Tenslee Raye Crabtree, and MacKenzie Rayne Bigham. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Allen Bigham; granddaughter, Angelica T Marie Lyons; and sister, Darlene Wright. The family suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Veterans Home, or the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana, 50 East 91st Street, Ste. 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240. Visitation will be from 11:00am Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Washington Park East, with funeral service at 1:00pm.
