Barbara Sue Huffman

In loving memory of Barbara Huffman, a remarkable woman born in DuPont, Indiana. Barbara’s journey led her from early work at the bank in Columbus to The White House department store. After marrying and raising three children, she embarked on a fulfilling career at Indiana Bell.

Her passion for interior decorating and literature inspired her return to college at Saint Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute, where she earned degrees in both fields. Barbara’s creativity thrived as a partner and designer for Off the Bolt.

Preceded in death by her father Jesse Baldwin, mother Alice Baldwin Fortney, brother Stephen Baldwin, husband Robert Huffman, son Randall Williams and great-grandson Bentley Wells.

Barbara is survived by daughters Gay (Mark) Wells and Sherri (Donald) Fields. She leaves behind a legacy cherished by her niece Stephanie and grandchildren, along with numerous great-grandchildren.

Barbara found joy in antiquing, gardening, bird watching, rescuing countless animals, reading, writing, sewing, and cooking. Her homemade organic apple butter became a beloved tradition, reflecting her warmth and generosity. Barbara’s artistic touch extended to decorating her grandchildren’s rooms, creating lasting memories of love and creativity.

May her spirit live on in the hearts of those she touched, and may fond memories of her vibrant life bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
