Barbara Sue (Davis) Hale, 85, of Noblesville, Indiana, passed away on October 25, 2025. She was born on February 25, 1940, in Shelbyville, Illinois, to parents, Daniel Davis and Helen (Figgins) Davis. Barbara married Willard E. Hale on April 3, 1966, in Casey, Illinois, and enjoyed a wonderful 59 years of marriage together.
Barbara loved the Lord with all her heart. She was devoted to her family, friends and her church at East 91st Street. She served faithfully at E91 as a Sunday School teacher, Bible study leader and in servant roles too numerous to count. Barbara was passionate about blessing others with her handmade quilts, baby blankets, and Christmas tree skirts. In her career as a registered nurse in family practice and then later at Methodist Hospital her compassion for others, especially infants, was evident. After retirement, Barbara enjoyed country dancing with Willard, outings with her dear friends from nursing school, and delighting in her grandchildren. And for her family every Tuesday was dinner at “Mimi’s.”
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Willard; children, Nelson (Traci) Hale and Evan (Kathy) Hale; grandchildren, Josh (Karly) Hale, Lucy (Kamden) Fearing, Dominic Hale, and Molly Hale; dear sister Shirley Spade. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel & Helen Davis.
Visitation for Barbara will be from 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at East 91st Street Christian Church, 6049 East 91st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46250, with a funeral service immediately following at 4:30 p.m. Barbara’s final resting place will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation and East 91st Street Christian Church, Women’s Ministry.
