Barbara Buskirk Findley
May 21, 1944 – December 11, 2020
Barbara Findley was the wife of G. Robert Findley, Sr. Mrs. Findley was a devout Catholic, an avid reader, volunteer, and animal lover. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the VFW Auxiliary, and many other honorary, volunteer, and service organizations.
Mrs. Findley was best known in the real estate industry acting as an agent, a sales/construction manager for a private builder/real estate company, and in commercial real estate. Though multi-disciplined in her career, Mrs. Findley’s proudest accomplishments were providing for her family as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Findley always endeavored to be a presence for her family and consistently thought of ways to care for and better her family’s lives. Her unrelenting strength served as an inspiration for all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George A. Buskirk, Sr., and Mary C. Buskirk, and her brother, Maj. General George A. Buskirk, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, G. Robert Findley, Sr.; her sons, G. Robert Findley, Jr., Jason William Findley and his wife Anna Fellerman Findley, Bryan Russell Findley and his wife Lauren Gaiot Findley; her grandchildren, Kody Findley, Mary Findley, Jackson Findley, Josiah Findley, and Jason Findley; and her sister, Patricia R. Madinger and her husband Charles E. Madinger. And, never without a four-legged companion, she is also survived by her rescue dog, Boots.
Mrs. Findley passed away on December 11, 2020, was laid to rest on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, following a private, Catholic ceremony and entombed in the family mausoleum at Washington Park North Cemetery.
