Barbara J. Delk

Barbara J. Delk of Indianapolis, Indiana went to her heavenly home on July 24, 2026, at 96 years of age. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 13, 1930, to the late George P. and Phyllis E. (Smith) McQuiston. Barbara enjoyed working and keeping her yard immaculate, bird watching, playing cards and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Her faith was extremely important to her during her life and was a long-time faithful member of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple, serving in numerous roles there. She is survived by her loving children, Sherry Albert, Jeff Delk, Daniel Delk, 6 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren on their way, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides her parents George and Phyllis McQuiston, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl M. Delk, and her sisters, Joyce Shoulders, and Margaret McQuiston. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 4:00-8:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with the Funeral Service being held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, 11:00 am at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Babara’s memory to the donor’s choice.
