Barbara Cowans Capers

Barbara Capers 61, loving matriarch of the Capers family, first lady of Lamb of God Church, Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2011. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Rev. Dr. James M. Capers; daughters, Kiesi Bouger and Lee Ara Capers; son-in-law, Milton Bouger; grandchildren, Carla and Julian Capers, Malcolm and Mitchell Julian and Morgan Capers; sister, Luerene Easely and brothers, Joseph Cowans and James Harrison; in-laws, Calvin and Sheila Capers, Rev. Olivia Joan Capers, Estelle Cowans, Caroline Harrison and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, James Darnell Capers. Services will be held at Witherspoon Presbyterian Church, 5136 North Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN, 46228, 317-251-2297, on Saturday, October 15 at 1 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.
