Barbara Jo Cory

Barbara Jo Cory, a beacon of love and kindness, left this world on February 1, 2026, in Fishers, Indiana. Born on December 29, 1939, in Beech Grove, Indiana, Barbara dedicated her life to caring for others, nurturing both young and old with unwavering compassion and dedication.

Her career began in nursing homes, where she lovingly assisted the elderly and engaged them in activities that brought joy and laughter to their days. This calling led her to become a teacher's aide for special needs children, where her gentle spirit and faith-driven approach made a lasting impact on the lives of her students.

Barbara cherished the role of grandmother above all else. Her grandchildren knew her as a constant source of warmth and support, often taking them to local parks and embarking on nature walks, creating cherished memories that will be held dear forever.

She leaves behind her beloved daughters, Nancy (Scott) Kuhn, Carol (Jerry) Studer, and Jill Cory; her sisters, Carol (Maurice) Lathrop and Donna (Dave) Kaiser; and her cherished grandchildren, Corey (Natalie) Dea, Aaron Dea, Jennifer (Roberto) Jimenez and Jerry (Alana) Studer. Barbara also delighted in her great-granddaughters, Bella and Sofia, who lit up her days with their innocent laughter.

Barbara is preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald Cory; parents, Michael and Rosemary Regan, whose legacy of love and care she instilled in her own family.

Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, and her memory will forever be a gentle reminder of the immeasurable impact one person can have in the lives of others.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
