Barbara Sue Chambers

Barbara Sue Chambers, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away May 7^th, 2024. She was born July 27^th, 1956, in Indianapolis, to parents Harlan Keith and Ida Delores Eikenberry.

Barbara grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from John Marshall high school.

She married the love of her life, Ronald Chambers. They shared 51 wonderful years together.

She worked for Rexnord and Hobby Lobby for many years before retiring.

Barbara was a lovely, compassionate woman. She loved being outdoors, especially at the beach with a margarita in her hand. She never turned down an opportunity to go shopping or dine at the Mexican restaurant. To relax, she enjoyed watching Hallmark and Lifetime movies. Above all, Barabara was devoted to her family, and was so proud to be a Meme.

She was a loving wife, mother, Meme, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Chambers; children Brian Chambers (Casey) and Kristy Waidlich (Billy); grandchildren Alexis Rippy, Bobby Rippy, Caitlynn Chambers, Brooklynn Chambers, Ashlynn Chambers; Brother William David Eikenberry; and two fur babies Milo and Rizzo.

She is preceded by her parents and siblings Harlan Ray Eikenberry and Sharon Kay Beaver.

Barbara’s visitation will be Monday, May 13^th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 12-2pm. Her service will begin at 2pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
