Barbara Buechler, a passionate music lover, free-spirited DJ, and avid fan of Woodstock, passed away on October 28, 2023, in her home in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on June 18, 1957, and leaves behind a legacy of beautiful memories, cherished moments, and an undeniable zest for life.

 

Barbara, known to her friends and family as a music connoisseur, had an innate ability to set the perfect ambiance with her DJ skills. Her love for music flowed through her veins, resonating with every beat that she shared with the world. Woodstock held a special place in her heart, where she found solace in the harmonious tunes and the spirit of togetherness.

 

Alongside her love for music, Barbara was a devoted companion to her beloved dog, Mr. Frodo Baggins. Together, they explored the great outdoors, embarking on countless hiking adventures that nurtured Barbara's soul and strengthened her connection to nature.

 

Barbara's love for exploring extended beyond the wilderness, as she found joy in traveling on cruises. From the turquoise waters of the Caribbean to the beautiful blue Danube, she reveled in the adventure and beauty that these journeys provided. Whether dancing under the stars or sharing laughter with newfound friends, Barbara took delight in making each travel experience truly unforgettable.

 

In addition to her passions, Barbara was also known for her love of science fiction, particularly the legendary fantasy saga, Lord of the Rings. She found solace and inspiration in the epic tale, captivated by the courage and determination displayed by the characters. Through her appreciation of literature and film, Barbara fostered a deep connection to imagination and storytelling.

 

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Dwight Buechler, who was her steadfast companion throughout their shared journey. Their unbreakable bond symbolized the strength of love and support they had for one another.

 

In accordance with Barbara's wishes, her earthly body will be cremated. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, November 3rd at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd West Drive Indianapolis from 11-12 pm.  Family, friends, and all those touched by Barbara's vibrant spirit are invited to attend and celebrate her life at noon.

 

Barbara Buechler will forever be remembered as a person who embraced life with her whole being. Her legacy of passion, love, and adventure will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.  Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G.
