Barbara Ann (Caldwell) Ayers

Barbara Ann (Caldwell) Ayers, 89 of Carmel, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016. She was born December 9, 1926 in Springfield, OH, to the late John Paul and Beatrice Caldwell. Barbara was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and attended Miami University in Oxford, OH. On December 7, 1946, she married Wilbur L. “Skip” Ayers. Barbara was a member of Meridian Street United Methodist Church and Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She worked as an executive secretary and was a member of Professional Secretaries International. She enjoyed boating, swimming, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Mary). She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, David Caldwell; sister, Marilyn Beaton.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel. A funeral service will be held at 1pm Thursday, June 23 at Meridian Street United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
