Barbara A Satterfield-Williams

Barbara A Satterfield-Williams, 70, passed away October 13, 2021 peacefully at home.  Barbara was born October 30, 1950 in Indianapolis, the daughter of William S Satterfield and Margaret C Satterfield.  Barb graduated in 1968 from Rockville High School and went on to graduate from Indiana State University with a BS in Special Education in 1973.  She continued her education at Butler University with a Masters in Elementary Education in 1978 and a 2^nd Masters at Northern Illinois University in 1984 in school counseling.  Barb retired from Noblesville School after 40 years of teaching.  She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega, past president of Alpha Delta Kappa and a member of American Personnel and Guidance Association.  Barb was honored in 2003-2004 for Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.  Along with teaching, she volunteered with Child Advocates.

Barbara is survived by her son, Marten M Mann and daughter, Mitizi M Evans; grandchildren, Carter R Mann and Presli R Evans; along with her three siblings, Marcia Wilcox, Gary Satterfield and Patricia Lien.

Funeral services will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, 46250 on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.  Family viewing will be from 10am – 11am, Public viewing will be from 11am – 1pm and the funeral will begin immediately after at 1pm with a committal service at the grave to follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Reception afterwards will be at Barb’s home, all are welcome!
