Barbara A. Conrad

85, of Indianapolis, passed away July 10, 2016. Barbara was born April 10, 1931 in Paris, Kentucky to the late John and Julia (McFarland) Carpenter. Barbara worked as a bookkeeper for Connecticut Life Insurance for over 20 years, before retiring. She was a member of the Heather Hills Baptist Church. She also enjoyed spending time with her family traveling to Myrtle Beach and going to amusement and water parks with her family! She was preceded in death by her husband Ben Conrad, a brother Bobby Carpenter and her sisters Margaret Dugan, Rena Swisshelm. She is survived by her son Coby Conrad, a granddaughter Kaylyn Conrad, a brother, John Carpenter, nieces Kim Plank, Yolanda Robinson, Becky Cooper, Brenda Coyle, nephews Mark Carpenter, Robin Carpenter, Scott Carpenter, Monte Carpenter, Greg Carpenter, Chuck Dugan and Darrin Swisshelm. She will be greatly missed by all! Visitation will be held Saturday from 12noon until service time, Saturday at 2pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Memorial Park.
