Azucena ‘Zeny’ Soriano Bagadiong, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021.  She was born on November 20, 1941 in Manila, Philippines, to the late Emilio Castro and Lucia (Macaranas) Soriano.

Zeny earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration/banking and finance from the University of the East in 1963.  She was a member of the Pangasin Varsitarians, Student Catholic Union, and the Management Association.  The majority of her career was spent in retail and customer service, working for the Navy Exchange Service and then the Army Air Force Exchange Service.  In 2004, she retired after 24 years of devoted and faithful service.   Throughout her career, she was honored with several Outstanding Employee Service awards.  She was so proud of her decades at AAFES that supports critical military Quality-of-Life programs that promote military readiness and resiliency including Child, Youth and School Services, Armed Forces Recreation Centers, and more.

She will be remembered as a very loving and supportive wife, who followed her husband literally around the world.  As a military family, she made sure her sons Nolan and Neil had everything they needed, making every house a home.  She encouraged them, gave them advice, and told them just how proud of them she was with their accomplishments in their lives.

As a super grandmother, she certainly loved her grandkids Jacob and Grace, and did absolutely anything for them especially making their favorite dishes.  She loved all of Cherie’s family (Nolan’s wife), enjoyed all the time spent with the in-laws and all the family get-togethers.

Zeny is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Nick Bagadiong; daughter-in-law, Cherie (Fenter) Bagadiong; son, Neil Bagadiong; grandson, Jacob Nicholas Bagadiong; and granddaughter, Grace Marie Bagadiong;  sister, Zenaida DeGuzman; brother, Arthur Soriano; brother, Charlie Soriano; sister, Lorna Perada; brother, Hajie Soriano; and sister, Haymaline Soriano.
