Austin Young

Austin Taylor Young, 18, passed away Saturday March 1, 2014 in Zionsville, Indiana. He was born July 28th, 1995 in Topeka, Kansas the son of Keith and Lisa Hassell Young. He was a senior at Zionsville Community High school and was recently accepted at Kansas State University majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He looked forward to joining the Engineering Robotics Team and Greek Life. Austin attended over two years of his high school experience at University High in Orange City, Florida where he was on the UHS's Golf Team, lettering 3 years, voted MVP his sophomore year, qualified for State his junior year as well as consecutive years on the honor roll prior to relocating to Zionsville, Indiana. He played youth baseball in both Texas and Florida. He's survived by his parents Keith and Lisa Young; brother Braiden Young; and his grandparents Les and Wanda Hassell of Rocky Mount, Missouri and Clara Young of Olpe, Kansas and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. . Austin was proceeded in death by his brother, Andrew Young; grandfather James Young. Local services for Austin were made by Flanner & Buchanan in Zionsville, IN. He will also have service in Missouri and Florida for extended family and friends.
