Audrey D. Stine, 93, of Avon, IN, entered life eternal on June 3, 2025 - what would have been just in time for her 70th wedding anniversary with the love of her life, Rev. Robert H. Stine, who passed away in 2016. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Audrey was known for her radiant smile, generous heart, and unwavering faith. She made everyone she met feel welcome and deeply loved.
For over 60 years, Audrey and Bob shared a beautiful partnership in life and ministry, serving United Methodist congregations in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Colorado, and Delaware. Audrey was more than a pastor’s wife - she was a steadfast presence in the churches they served, offering hospitality, wisdom, and encouragement to all.
A woman of strength and grace, Audrey was a 20+ year cancer survivor and a devoted member of Meridian Street United Methodist Church for 33 years. She was also a member of the PEO Sisterhood and cherished the friendships she formed there.
Professionally, Audrey served as an insurance administrator for Indiana Ministries of the Church of God, retiring in 1997. Earlier in her career, she held administrative roles with several prominent churches and faith-based organizations, including the General Board of Finance and Administration of the United Methodist Church.
Audrey had a deep love for flowers and gardening, and she cultivated beauty, not just in her garden but in her family and friendships. She was the heart of her family, always present, always giving, always putting others first.
After her husband’s death, Audrey was blessed with the devoted companionship of her dear friend Dan Newton. Their friendship brought much joy and comfort to her life.
She is survived by her children, Robert H. Stine, Jr. (Molly) and Sheryl Francik (Dave); grandchildren Courtney Sackett, Kaitlyn Milos (John), and Michael Francik (Dilan); and great-granddaughter Sophia Milos.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Noon at Meridian Street United Methodist Church, 5500 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will precede the service at 11:00 a.m. in the church parlor. Burial will take place at a later date at Fairmont Memorial Park, Alliance, Ohio.
