Audrey Kathryn Britain

Audrey Kathryn Britain, 84 of Indianapolis was born September 9, 1930 and died on January 15, 2015. She was born in Roanoke, VA, to Gratton Olinger and Willie Lee Pollitt. She was a full time loving mother and had a passion for sharing love. Audrey and her husband left a legacy on the East Side, Audrey's Place Furniture & Thrift Store which opened in 1990. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John W. Britain, Sr. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, John Britain, Jr. (Susan), Troy Britain, Angela Britain-Smith, Cleo Tew (Tim) and Lori Williams (Dwayne). Brothers, Bob McClelland, Harold Dean Pollitt and Paul Pollitt. Audrey was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Family and Friends may call from 10:30 AM until service time at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 19, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Burial Service will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans.
