Athaleen R. " Willie" Willingham
84 of Indianapolis, IN passed away November 27, 2014.She was born on Christmas day December 25, 1929 in Beaver, West Virginia to the late George W. Stumbaugh and Lura S. (Miller) Stumbaugh Billings. She was retired as a Secretary for IUOE, International Union of Engineers Local #103 for many years. She was the widow of Lt. John M. Willingham who preceded her in death in 1978. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church where she was very involved especially in the Quilters Guild and served on the Bereavement Dinner Committee. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society , F.O.P. Ladies Auxiliary #86, and Oasis where she served as a tutor for reading at Sander's Elementary School. She is survived by her children, John "Mike" (Sharron) Willingham, Teresa Shrader, Cecilia Fizer, Diana J. (William) Etling, Lynda Alexander, 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by her son, Joseph David Willingham, a great granddaughter, Rebecca, and a sister, Sadie Stumbaugh Mass of Christian Burial be Thursday, December 4, 2014 12PM with visitation there 1 hour prior to the service there at St. Ann Catholic Church, 6350 S. Mooresville Road Indianapolis, IN. Additional visitation will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur Township. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be directed to St. Ann Catholic Church .
