Arthur Thomas 'Art' Monday

Arthur Thomas "Art" Monday 74, Indianapolis, passed away February 13, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. Art was born on January 19, 1938 in Thompkinsville, KY. He worked for Polk's Milk Co. and Golden Guernsey Farms, before retiring from Ford Motor Co. in 1997, after 30 years of service. Art was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Stella Monday. He is survived by his children, Sharon Monday, Karen Wilson and Wes (wife, Susie) Monday; grandchildren, Wendy Wilson, Jon Wilson, Jason (wife, Brooke) Knapp, Matthew Monday and Chad Monday; great grandchildren, Zach Rush, Justin Knapp Cooper Knapp and Skye Wilson; sisters, Beatris (husband, Gene) Cleary, Louise Morris, Della Terry and Hettie (husband, Rick) Williams and many nieces and nephews and a lifetime of friends and family. Special Thanks to the staff at St. Francis Hospital (Beech Grove-Select Care) and Ambassador Health Care in Centerville, IN. Services for Art will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 16.
