Arthur C. Grube, Jr.
96, of Indianapolis died on March 3, 2015. He was born on August 10, 1918 in Louisville, Kentucky to Alma and Arthur C. Grube, Sr.
He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and attended Anderson Business College in 1937.
Arthur worked for 39 ½ years in the parts catalog department at WABCO (formerly J.D. Adams Co.) who built road machinery, and at the pension fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for 12 years as a stock room clerk. He was a member of Zion Evangelical UCC where he played piano for various Sunday school youth departments for 54 years. He played piano for group singing in a number of organizations throughout the church, sang in the Zion Sanctuary Choir.
Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Adelaide, to whom he was married for 64 years, and by his son Arthur L. Grube. Arthur is survived by daughter, Cinda (Charles) Berning, son Gaylen S. Grube; grandchildren Christopher (Vanessa) Berning, Carrie (Dee) Sanders, David (Michelle) Grube, Lisa and Ian (Cassandra) Grube; and 6 great grandchildren.
Calling will be held at 12:30 PM on Sunday, March 15, 2015 in the church parlor of Zion Evangelical UCC in Indianapolis followed by a memorial service at 1:30 PM.
Interment will be at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
