Arthur 'Art' Piers

Arthur "Art" Piers 86, of Indianapolis, IN passed away February 25, 2013. He was born November 1, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN. Art affectionately known as a WWII veteran and experienced pilot. He enjoyed hunting and anything related to the great outdoors. He was an avid golfer and Notre Dame & Colts fan. Art was great father and very family-oriented, a man who never met a stranger. Art is survived by his son Gary (Kathy) Piers, Daughter Sandra Lawler. Grandchildren: Chad, Gregory, Megan (Kevin) and Christian (Nan) and great-grandchildren: Belle, Sydney and Austin and close nephew Michael Drury. Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Barbara Jean Piers. Visitation will be held 12-2-pm Friday, March 1, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN. A celebration of life service will follow at 2pm.
