Arnold F. Rebholz, 82 of Carmel, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his home surrounded by family. He was born October 2, 1929 at home in Arpin, Wisconsin. He married the former Clarine McGowan of Belmont, WI on July 14, 1951.
Arnold was a graduate of Columbus High School, WI in 1948. He served as an Officer in the Army Airborne Paratroopers with the 82nd Airborne Division followed by service in Korea in 1953. He graduated from Platteville State Teachers College in 1954 and taught Vocational Agriculture at Hudson Wisconsin from January 1955 thru August 1960. He was employed in the Real Estate Investment Division of the Prudential Insurance Company from September 1960 to January 1988 and retired as President of The Prudential Realty Group. He then worked for ten years with his family in helping to establish a family business.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years; two daughters, Julie (Gabriel) Cherichello and Angela (Kenny) Williams: Six sons, Jeffrey (Merry) Rebholz , Steven (Susan) Rebholz, Joseph (Kathi) Rebholz, David (Nora) Rebholz, Gregory Rebholz, and Nicholas (Jacquie) Rebholz. His twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren were a special love in his life. Also surviving are his sisters, Sr. Teresa Rebholz, Eva Strohmenger and Annie Schroeder and brothers, John "Jack", Roger, Norman and William Rebholz. Arnold was preceded in death by his sister Leona Weisensel and brother, Joseph Rebholz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Tuesday, August 21 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, where family and friends are invited to gather from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday, August 20.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church or St. Vincent Hospice.
