Arcenio Rumbaoa Jr., 49, of Zionsville passed away on Sunday, February 20th, 2022, at his home with his family. He was born on August 8, 1972, to Arcenio and Nora Rumbaoa in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Arcenio served his country by being a soldier and medic in the US Army National Guard. After his nearly 22 years of military service, he served his community as a Flight Medic with the Critical Care Team for Lifeline and as a Firefighter/Paramedic with Jackson Township Fire Department. Additionally, Arcenio worked as a Medical Specialist in the Indiana Task Force 1, deploying to help areas damaged by Hurricanes Dorian, Marco, Laura, Delta, and Ida. He also deployed to the Champlain Towers collapse in Surfside to help in rescue efforts. Arcenio valued education and constantly completed different certifications and trainings to better himself as a healthcare provider, acquiring 53 certifications in his career as a paramedic. He was well known for going out of his way to help and train others he worked alongside of soldiers, medics, co-workers, and friends. A true servant to the community.
Arcenio is survived by his wife Jennifer E. Rumbaoa, daughter Jada M. Rumbaoa, son Aiden K. Rumbaoa, stepson Alec B. Leiter (wife Katie), father Arcenio Rumbaoa (wife Nora), and sisters Norma Murayama (husband Kenric) and Jean Chin (husband Steve).
Visitation will be Thursday, March 3rd from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Zionsville United Methodist Church at 9644 Whitestown Road in Zionsville. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4th beginning at 11:00 am at Zionsville United Methodist Church with Chaplain Don Nedza officiating, followed by burial at Lincoln Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the American Heart Association.
