April J. Shea

Shea, April J., 57, of Indianapolis, went Home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2013 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 25, 1956 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Wray Ertle, Sr. and Judith Jenks. April was a faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was a Preschool teacher for over 25 years, and in her spare time, she enjoyed various forms of needlecraft. What was most important to April was her love for God and Family, the two of which were deeply intertwined. She modeled her love for family after God's love for us, and her family returned that love with their dedication to Christ. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 38 years, Robert "Skip" Shea; her children Robert Troy (Rebecca) Shea and Brock E. (Anna) Delia-Shea; grandchildren Evan, Chase, Mackenzie, and Reagan Shea and Athena and Robert Joseph Delia-Shea; six sisters, one brother, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. April was preceded in death by her brother Wray Ertle, Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Hospice.
