Anton Dum

Anton W. Dum, 87, Indianapolis, passed away August 7, 2014. He was born March 15, 1927, in Conway, AK, the son of the late Anton W. Sr. and Margaret (Worm) Dum. He married Lois Ann (Ross) Dum on June 25, 1949. She preceded him in passing on April 25, 2003. Anton served in the United States Navy. He retired in 1992 from St. Francis Hospital – Beech Grove as a construction engineer. He was a long time member of Christ the King Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening, but his greatest enjoyment was being with his family. He is survived by his six children, Gary (Lisa) Dum, Steve Dum, Judi (Chris) Seidel, Susan (Bob) Kent, Michael (Maria) Dum, Sandy (John) Panyard; 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister, Marilyn (Richard) Ryan; sister-in-law, Jo Remenyik; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1827 Kessler Blvd. East. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
