Anthony “Tony” Francis France, 77, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away February 21, 2020. He was born July 28, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Phillip and Thelma France.
Tony was a 1963 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy. Tony dutifully served his country until his honorable discharge on September 28, 1967. Our nation remains forever grateful for his dedication and service. He met the love of his life, Elizabeth, at the American Legion #64. The pair were married January 21, 1996. They spent 24 beautiful years together and remain deeply in love at the time of his passing. Tony enjoyed watching sports and staying active, especially golfing and bowling. He was a great Euchre player, enjoyed visiting the casino, and would never miss The Price is Right. He was a caring man with a good heart; he would do anything for those he loved making him an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Thelma; son, Marty France; sister, Laura. Surviving to cherish his legacy are loving wife, Elizabeth France; Michael (Margo) France, Anthony France Jr, Bobby (Marilea) Rhoton Jr, William Rhoton, Angela (Scott) Smallfoot; siblings, Louie France, Mark France; grandchildren, Jarrett France, Marissa France, Madison France, Michelle (JC) Centers, Andrew Rhoton, Evan Rhoton, Daniel Rhoton; many loving great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
