Anne S. Fairfax 75, Carmel, passed away September 4, 2013. She was born July 20, 1938, in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Emil and Florence (Morat) Hoehler. She married Gerald H. Fairfax on June 18, 1960, he preceded her in passing January 10, 2003. Anne was a graduate of Presentation Academy in Louisville. She retired as a school bus driver for Carmel Clay Schools. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church for over 25 years where she was on the grieving committee. She participated in the Christ Renews His Parish program and also was a volunteer with the Girl Scouts of America. She is survived by her children, Carol Fairfax (Alan) Anderson, Janice M. (Tom) Gathof, Michael A. Fairfax; grandchildren, Corey A. Anderson, Allison M. Gathof, and Leslie A. Gathof; and siblings, Glenn (Kay) Hoehler, Steve (Janet) Hoehler, Tom (Pam) Hoehler, Susan Keller and Dan Hoehler. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oakridge Road, Carmel, IN. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive, and also one hour prior to the mass at the church. A 1:30 p.m. service will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Louisville, KY. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
