Anna Lee Bowling
81 of Indianapolis passed away on January 29, 2014. She was born December 1, 1932 in Bowlingtown, Kentucky to the late Woolery "Dutch" and Vinia (Wooten) Bowling. She had worked at RCA retiring in 1976.She was joined in marriage on February 28, 1950 to Fred Bowling who preceded her in death in February 1989. From this union they were blessed with their children, Donald (Diane), Glenn (Cindy), Anthony (Tammy), Anna Faye, and Benita. A daughter, Annetta passed away as an infant. She dedicated her life to her family, and the children were the lights in her life. She was also blessed with her grandchildren, Lorie, Seth, Richie, Eric, Leanna, Ruben and Lee. Her blessings continued with 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Woolery and Nelson. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, John E. (J.E.) and Elmer twin boys and her sisters, Ruthie and Emily. She attended the Glorious Church of God in Johnson Co., Indiana. Services will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014 4:00 PM at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur with Pastor Jerome Baker officiating. The family will receive visitors and family from 2 PM at the funeral center. She will be laid to rest next to Fred at the Harrison Bowling Cemetery near Hazard, KY. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial gifts be made the family in care of Flanner and Buchanan.
