Anna Laura 'Ann' Lahr

Anna Laura "Ann" Lahr, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013. She was born in August 23, 1924 in Connersville, IN to Charles Phillip and Jeanetta Ruth (Whipple) Roome. Ann worked as a telephone receptionist for Lilly Industrial Coatings, retiring in 1991. She was a talented artist; writing calligraphy and painting, she also enjoyed playing the organ and was a member of Chapel Rock Christian Church. Ann is survived by her children, Joanne Lahr-Kreischer and Joseph (Yayoi) Lahr; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Juanita, Phyllis and Jean. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "Bill" Lahr; and 2 sisters. Funeral services for Ann will be held at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11am with visitation 1 hour prior to the services.
