Anna Elizabeth Lipinski

July 8, 1940 — August 20, 2023

Indianapolis, IN

Anna Elizabeth (Nadolna) Lipinski, 83, died Sunday morning, August 20, 2023 at her home in Indianapolis.  Born in Zabiele, Poland, July 8, 1940, she was the third child of John and Alice (Pupek) Nadolny.

She was proud that she flew to America by herself.  After immigrating to the United States, she worked as a nanny and enjoyed travelling through the United States and Mexico.  She later met and married her husband, Chester.  They initially made their home in Holyoke, Massachusetts, then in Enfield, Connecticut, and later in Belchertown, Massachusetts.  Ever the independent spirit, she eventually moved out to her own home in Indianapolis, Indiana.

While her primary focus was raising her children and supporting all their activities, she contributed to the family’s welfare by working in various jobs to include positions at Lego and Kohl’s.  She enjoyed gardening, rosary making, cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, and all sorts of crafts, but most of all, spending time with all her grandchildren.  Anna was a long-time communicant of the former Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Holyoke, Holy Family Catholic Church in Enfield, St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belchertown, and most recently, Christ the King Catholic Church in Indianapolis.  She also served as a devoted member for the Legion of Mary.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chester, and her brothers, Stanley and Joseph.  She is survived by her sister, Wanda Blair and her husband Donald of Granby, Massachusetts.   She was a loving and devoted mother of 4 children, 22 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed by her children, John and his wife Terry of Reno, Nevada, Myron and his wife Michelin of Wichita, Kansas, Theresa Hotwagner and her husband Thomas of Indianapolis, Indiana, Rosemary Wrona and her husband Joseph of Belchertown, Massachusetts, along with nieces, Elizabeth McNamara and her husband James of Belchertown, Massachusetts, and Donna Ratner and her husband Darren of Cranford, New Jersey.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 10:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5884 Crittenden Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 10:00 am in St Francis of Assisi Church, 24 Jabish Street, Belchertown, Massachusetts, followed by burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley, Massachusetts.

For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to The Divine Mercy, Anna’s Celebration of Life Foundation (ACOLF – helping children with special needs thrive), or a local Legion of Mary.
