Anita L. (Walton) Buchanan

Anita L. (Walton) Buchanan, 81, of New Palestine, Indiana passed away June 4, 2016. She was born in Indianapolis the daughter of the late Theodore and Evelyn (Fiesel) Walton; Anita was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Ronald, Donald, Theodore, Jr., and Gerald; and 2 sisters, Margaret and Linda.
Anita is survived by her husband, James Buchanan, Sr.; daughters, Theresa Smith and Rosezella Gorby and her husband Steve; sons, James Buchanan, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Steven Buchanan and his wife Gena and Kenny Buchanan and his wife Angie; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters Juanita Spears and Priscilla McCoy.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at New Palestine Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 4053 South 650 West, New Palestine, IN. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, and 2 hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
