Anita Elaine Nelson Frost passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2025.
Elaine was an avid reader, photographer, gardener, and crafter who found joy in the simple things and poured love into everything she did. More than anything, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone in need will be remembered by all who knew her. Elaine was a devoted member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where she found strength in her faith and peace in her Savior.
She is survived by her son, Corey (Jenee) Frost of Nashville, Indiana; her daughter, Casey (Ryan) Wilson of Carmel, Indiana; her beloved grandchildren, Hailey (Nathaniel) Rhodes of North Carolina, Cooperand Brennon Wilson of Carmel, Indiana, Isabel and Zoe Frost of Westfield, Indiana, and Willow and Creek Frost of Nashville, Indiana; and her great-grandson, Beckett Rhodes. She is also survived by her loving sister-in-law, Lori Ward of Hagerstown, Indiana, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joan and Don Ward of Richmond, Indiana; her biological father, Willis Nelson; and her brother, Kelly Ward of Hagerstown, Indiana.
Elaine’s family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace with her Savior. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
