Anita Boyer

Anita Boyer, 46, of Westfield passed away August 20, 2022.  She was born August 31, 1975, in Taiwan, the daughter of the late Dr.  Mou Shu “Marshall” and Shi-Wei “Patricia” (Hu) Chao.  Although she was born in Taiwan she grew up in Midland, Michigan.  As a little girl her father affectionately gave her the nickname of “Cheetah”.  When out on walks, she would go so fast, there was no strolling.

Anita was passionate about the weather which led her to study Meteorology at Indiana University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in 1998.  Several years later, she pursued two more degrees from Purdue University in Biology and Chemistry.  She worked as a National Certified Pharmacy Technician, but the job she enjoyed most was being a busy mom to her two sons.  Anita loved to travel, especially to Disneyland and any beach on any coast.  Regardless of what city they were visiting, they would make a trip to the local zoo.  She was a talented gardener and baker, and she enjoyed animals, scrapbooking, cross stitching, puzzles, Legos, and Winnie the Pooh.  She had such a big heart and always made sure that everyone got a card on their special day.

She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Kent Boyer; two sons Lukis (age 12) and Tristan (age 9); sister-in-law, Lani (Chris) Tocheck; father-in-law, Leon (Linda) Boyer; and mother-in-law, Jeannette (Craig) Eckhardt.

Memorial services will be from 1-2 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Meridian Street United Methodist Church, 5500 North Meridian Street.  Visitation will be from 12- 1p.m. at the church.  To view a livestream of the service please click here.
