Angelika 'Ann' Halstead

Angelika "Ann" Halstead, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. She was born in Bloomington, IN on November 29, 1934 to Charles and Ruby (Farr) Poolitsan. Ann was a 1952 graduate of University High School and an avid shopper; but most importantly she was a dedicated wife and mother. She also enjoyed baking and cooking traditional Greek dishes for her family. Ann was a member of the Speedway United Methodist Church and the Chapel Hill Lions Club. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jim D. Halstead; children, Catherine (Mark) Schipper, Kimberly Sachs, Rev. Jim C. (Kristi) Halstead; grandchildren, Andy, James, Julie, Stephen and Amy. Ann is also survived by her sister, Barbara Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Joseph Sachs. Funeral services will be held at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 10am. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4 until 8pm, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Presbyterian Cemetery in Ellettsville, IN.
