Angela Nichole Bowen-Boss

Dr. Angela Nichole Bowen-Boss, 36, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 4, 2011. Angela was a passionate advocate for children, as a pediatrician and child psychiatrist. She received her doctorate at the University of Cincinnati, and trained at the IU-Riley Pediatrics program, where she completed the triple-board residency for training in Pediatrics, and Adult and Child Psychiatry. Originally from the Chicago area, she met her husband during her training and stayed with him in Indianapolis to work at Wishard Hospital – she cared very much for her patients and their families there. Her other passion was those she loved, and she was fiercely loyal and loving with family and friends. Her strength, determined spirit and great infectious laugh will be deeply missed She is survived by her loving husband, Eric; her mother, Landa Bowen; her father, Frank H. Bowen, Jr., his wife Deborah; her brother, Frank H. Bowen III, his wife Tamara, and her super nephews Frank IV and Tyler; her grandmother, Thelma Branson; and her devoted and always supportive aunts, Velda, Charlotte, Jacqueline, Faith, and an uncle, Claude. She was treasured by her in-laws, and the Boss family along with all of her extended family will miss her greatly. Her friends were "friends for life" no matter where they moved, or how their lives changed – she stayed close and always kept them in her thoughts. To know Angela was to love her, and she will be remembered in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 9, 2011 at St. Monica Parish 6131 N. Michigan Road Indianapolis, IN 46228 , with visitation from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Your prayers for Angela and her family are greatly appreciated.
