Anatoliy Ihnatovych Boukatch, 79, of Brooklyn, New York, went home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2019. He was born in the Oktyabrskyi District of Ukraine’s Mykolayiv Province on September 9, 1939 to Ignat and Vira Boukatch. By trade, he was a masterful electrician. Throughout his years working and traveling on a cargo ship, he took special pleasure in bringing home unique foods and gifts for his family to enjoy. Anatoliy also had a brilliant mind for mathematics. His joy when crunching numbers and solving equations was matched only by his love for cooking. He was known to spend hours in the kitchen whipping-up delicious dishes from Borscht to Kholodets.
Anatoliy is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Vira Kotyurova Boukatch.
He is survived by his son Valentine, daughter Tatiana, and her husband Scott.
Friends may call from 10am until 11:30am on Friday, January 11, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite). Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:30am. Burial will in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
