Amy Ilene Burris

Amy Ilene Burris 85, of Indianapolis passed away January 25, 2012. She was born January 13, 1927 in Indianapolis to her late parents Lillian and Arthur Harrington and was the sister of the late Etta Kroger. Amy was a graduate of Manuel High School. She married Roy G. Burris in 1948 and he preceded her in death October 4, 1990. She later remarried Otha (Ray) Morrow who also preceded her in 2004. Amy retired from the AT&T Corporation after more than 20 years of service. She was a past member the Omega Nu Tau sorority and the Greenwood Moose Club. A celebration of Amy's life will be held 12Noon, Monday, January 30, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the service time on Monday. Amy is survived by her two sons, Steven R. Burris (Mary Raines);David A. Burris (Jill); Granddaughter Jessica l. Schumacher (Branden); Great Granddaughter Sophie l Schumacher; and Brother-in-law David V. Burris. Amy's passion was bowling, line dancing and bingo and made many friends through these activities. Amy was a loving and devoted mother. She so enjoyed her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
