Amanda Elizabeth Szakel

Amanda Elizabeth Szakel, age 37 passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

Cremation Rites have been accorded.

A Celebration of Amanda's life was held on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Flanner Buchanan - Decatur Township. 

Family and friends were able to come together to Celebrate Amanda’s life.

Amanda was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1989 in Indianapolis, a daughter of Anthony and Maurene Denise (Kyle) Szakel.

Amanda is preceded in death by her parents.

Amanda is survived by her daughter: Adalyn.

She is also survived by her brother: Ronald (wife Molly) Szakel of Mooreville, IN.

And by her nephew Ian.

Over the years Amanda enjoyed writing and poetry. She used writing and poetry as a means to process her life.

She will be remembered for having the loudest personality in any given room. 

Amanda had a beautiful smile and beautiful eyes, which are all traits given to her beautiful daughter, Adalyn.

Amanda will be fondly remembered as a daughter, sister, mother and aunt. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
