Alyce A. Joubert
79, passed away November 29, 2013 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born March 26, 1934 and grew up in Gage Park, Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Rose (Chlopecki) and Bruno Rakowski, Sr.
Alyce was a graduate of Howe High School. Alyce was a longtime parishioner of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed devoting time to Eucharistic Adoration, volunteering with St. Vincent DePaul, yoga, reading, and walking with her husband, Ray and friends.
Alyce is survived by her loving husband, Raymond J. Joubert, Jr.; children, Michael J. Joubert, (wife-Michele), Angela M. Cox, (husband-Randy), Therese R. Andry, (husband-Neal), and Jennifer K. Fernandes, (husband-Cledwyn); grandchildren, Alexander and Zachary Black, Max and Anna Joubert, Alyson, Abigail, and Arinn Cox; brothers Arnie and Paul Rakowski.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bruno Rakowski, Jr.
A Christian Mass will be 9:30 Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 6000 W. 34th St. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 3, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway, 2950 N. Highschool Rd. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memory Garden Cemetery, Zionsville.
