Alvin C. Hause

Alvin C. Hause 89 of Indianapolis died October 12, 2011. Alvin was born in Acton, IN on March 11, 1922 to John C. and Naomi (Bretzlaff) Hause. Alvin served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Alvin was a Grounds Foreman for Meridian Hills Country Club for 52 years. Alvin was preceded in death by his siblings Narell, Russell and Eugene Hause, Velda Snyders and Leona Perry. Alvin was proud of being married for 62 years to Mary Jane (Detamore-Kellam) Hause who also preceded him in death in May of 2007. Alvin is survived by his daughter Linda S. (David) Vollrath and two grandchildren David L. (Debra) Vollrath II and Deborah L. Zink and four great grandchildren Lynsey and Erika Vollrath and Jordan and Kayla Zink and two sisters Ethel Rankin and Elsie Truesdel. Calling will be on Monday October 17, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park North beginning at 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM followed by the funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM. Entombment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
