Althea Pogue
100, of Indianapolis, passed away October 7, 2013. Althea was born August 25, 1913 to the late Owen and Alma (Cox) Curry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Pogue.
Althea received her education from Butler University and taught for 7 years in Thorntown and 26 Years in Warren Township. She retired in 1973. Althea was an avid bridge player and had the reputation of an excellent cook. She was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma and the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
She is survived by her daughter; Elizabeth Pogue Marshall (J. Richard), 2 grandchildren; Molly Elizabeth Butler (Morris) and John Pogue Marshall (Lynn), and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple. Services will be 2 pm on Thursday. Burial will be private.
