Allan Lawrence Sheets

Allan Lawrence Sheets, III 57, of Indianapolis, passed away February 9, 2011. He was born September, 2, 1953, to Evelyn and Allan Sheets, Jr. Allan is a 1971 graduate of Ben Davis High School. He attended Ball State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree. Prior to his passing, he was working on his Master’s Degree. Allan was a teacher for International Business College. He was the accounting program manager at the college, and taught all of the accounting classes; including some chemistry and business math classes. Allan attended the Gethsemane Apostolic Church, where he served as a bible study teacher. He visited several nursing homes and prisons spreading the good word. Allan also had a love for lighthouses, the ocean, and dolphins; as he traveled all over to visit many different lighthouses. He is survived by his sisters, Pamela Sheets, Jewell Elsea; 1 niece, 2 nephews, and 1 great-nephew. Visitation for Allan will be held on Tuesday, February, 15, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the funeral center. Cremation will follow the services, with interment of cremated remains in Washington Park East Cemetery to be a later date.
