Alice S. Burke died September 12, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 85.
She was born May 29, 1936 in Thorntown, IN to the late Lawrence Walter Strong and Maude Charlene (Regan) Strong.
She worked for RCA for over 43 years. She loved birds. When describing Alice, the words that come to mind are strong, frappe lover, determined, goal-setter, rock of the family, ruthless, happy, and love. She always had cabinets of snacks for her grandchildren and would even have shots with them. She was a spitfire and one hell of a lady that loved fiercely, gave the best hugs, and would give you anything for a huggy huggy kissy kissy.
She is survived by her children Marcia Ferguson, Jackie J. Day, Sharon Burke Stinnett, Pamela Sue Hammond (Ron), Jeffrey Burke (Nancy); the love of her life Joe Jackson; grandchildren Scott, Lori, Nichole, Daniel, Allyson, Jordyn, Darren, Kelly, Kairrie, Jaclyn, Diana and Paul; great-grandchildren Carissa, Brooklyn, Lacy, Haven, Rhylinn, Remy, Rowyn, Evelyn, Tyler, Timothy, Teya “Tot”, Cadence, Tinley, Ilsa, Hailey, Austin, Haley Grace, Karli, Zachary, Brooklyn, Audrey and Edith; great-great grandchild Kensley; and siblings Marvin Strong, Shirley Stigdon, Leroy Strong, Judy Gambrel, and Brenda Rottler.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Cleo Strong, John Robert Strong, Donald Strong, Susan Strong-Offing, and Jerry Strong.
