Alice E. Ridgway, 87 of Indianapolis passed away September 26, 2011. She had been employed at Western Electric for 33 years retiring in 1980. Alice was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, former member of the Lawrence United Methodist Church and presently a member of the 91st Street Christian Church. She was active in the Lawrence Senior Citizens and had been a senior queen. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Homer E. Ridgway. Alice is survived by daughters LaDonna J. (Ron) Higgins and Rebecca A. (Skip) Westerhold; grandchildren Kim (Bob) Blitzer, Kathy (Mike) Jenkins and Brad Westerhold; great-grandchildren Kylie, Brett and Ashley, and brother Don Cowden of Bloomington, IN. Services will be Saturday, October 1, 11am at the Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Washington Park East with visitation Friday, September 30, from 4 to 8pm at the center. Memorial contributions may be made to the hospice of Community Home Health Services.
