Alice Louise Dial, 88, passed away on April 30, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on January 23, 1937, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to the late Bernard and Lucille Hayworth.
Alice was a beloved mother, sister, and friend. She lived life on her own terms and one deeply rich in love, creativity, and an appreciation for the beauty of the world around her.
Alice had a true passion for flowers and gardening - she found joy in taking care of her yard and “digging in the dirt”. Her home was filled with the art she adored. She was intelligent, clever and had a delightful sense of humor that filled the lives of those around her. Alice was an avid traveler. She loved taking adventures both large and small. She had been all over the world and the United States.
The memory of Alice's loving spirit and vibrant personality will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Ellen Dial; sisters, Susan (Rich) Zollinger and Bernadette (Ron) Byers; and brother, Joe (Teresa) Hayworth. As well as many much-loved nieces and nephews and extended family.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis, from 11:00am and to 2:00pm.
