Ali Jalaie, 78, of Indianapolis, IN passed away Jan. 10. He was born in Borujerd, Iran and attended Tehran University as a student athlete. Ali served as an athletics director in Kermanshah, Iran for several years before coming to the United States in 1966 as a student at Ball State University. After graduation, he lived in Muncie, IN for some time before moving to Indianapolis, Indiana. Ali was an agent for Banker’s Life and Casualty for over 40 years. He was known for his lighthearted humor and easy going nature. He was also active in celebrating Persian culture in the Indianapolis area. Ali loved to play tennis often and enjoyed spending time with family and friends with lots of laughter and backgammon.
Ali is survived by his brother, Mehdi, and his children Bobak (Brenda), Bijon (Carrie), and Dariush, as well as four grandchildren.
