Alfred "Al" A. Haboush
82, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on August 8, 2015. He was born to the late Louis and Anna Haboush. Al graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1950. Al worked in his parents' grocery store growing up. Early in life he worked for the Indianapolis Star and News and worked as a contract administrator at Ft. Benjamin Harrison and as an Assistant Deputy Director of Industrialized Buildings for the State of Indiana. Al was a loving husband, father, papaw, caregiver and friend. He never met a stranger and everyone was always family. He was a very giving man as he volunteered for the Howe H.S. Men's 400 Club benefiting the athletic programs. Al's family included all his kids kid's as meal time ranged from 6 people to 10 or 12. Al was very proud of all his children, grandkids, nieces and nephews and they were his true life treasures and passion to live. Al is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Edward, Carl, Lillian, Arvine, Arvina and wife, Judith A. Haboush. He is survived by his children; Gregg, Jeffrey (Debbie), Anna (David) Grigsby, David (Marcy), 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many friends. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, 10:00am at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46260, with an hour visitation prior to service.
