Aldona E. Szeszycki (Indianapolis) died Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the grand age of 98. She was a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to a large family that started after her WWII service in the Marines. Married to George A. Szeszycki, Sr. in 1951, they moved for the last time to Indianapolis to continue raising their family. To help support the family monetarily, she joined the workforce after the age of 40 and became a fixture at Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Indianapolis as a project liaison. Aldona has been an active member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church for 60 years. She was also a member of the St. Andrew’s Half Century Club, the Red Hatter’s Club and the Roselawn Neighborhood Association. Aldona’s hobbies included reading, singing, dancing, and bowling, but ultimately, she enjoyed spending time with her family, relishing the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her children: George (Enia), Don (Sharon), Joyce (Tom), Mary (Jim), Gary (Sherry), Ken (Elaina), Bud (Anna), and Jim (Kathy); grandchildren: Ryan (Lindsey), Tiffany, Lauren (Joe), James, Kyle, Chris, and Benjamin; great grandchildren: Briar, Hunter, and Olive. Aldona was preceded in death by her husband, George Sr. (2006). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Friday, June 25, 2021 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. The visitation will be 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to the Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. www.flannerbuchanan.com
