Albert "Bert" William Kelly, 65, died on Tuesday, January 31,2017 peacefully at his home in Zionsville.
He was born to John A. Kelly and Elsa T. Heining-Kelly on April 27, 1951, in Nurnberg, Germany. He moved to Zionsville, Indiana and attended grades 1-12 at Zionsville Community. He graduated in 1969 and then attended Oakland City College for two years where he studied History. He then attended IUPUI where he studied Criminal Justice and was a graduate of Buxton University where he earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice.
His career included working as a Deputy Sheriff with the Marion County Sheriff's Department, and held a Deputy Clerk position with the Marion County Clerk's Office. He was also an Independent Insurance Claim Adjuster.
His hobbies included Politics, as having served as an elected member of the Wayne Township Board in Marion County where he served as president. He was a member of St. Michael's the Archangel parish in Indianapolis. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Minda D. Kelly, His two daughters Monica Kelly-Raines (Joesph A. Raines) 2 sons, Erica Kelly-Davis (Trevor M. Davis) 2 daughters.
Visitation will be on Tuesday February 7, 2017 from 4-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan in Zionsville. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 8, at 10:30 a.m. at St.Michael the Archangel in Indianapolis followed by the burial at Our Lady of Peace in Indianapolis.
